***
A few months ago I asked Alfred, a friend from work, to make me a logo I could use for the handmade things I sell. In return, I wanted to make something nice for his twins and after giving it some thought, I decided to make personalized towels for them.

The first thing was to talk to him to get to know the girls taste, in order to choose motives according to what they liked. He told me that Adriana loves pink, princess stuff and very girly things in general; in the other hand there was Martina, who likes blue, red, black, and loves football and superheroes.

Adriana was quite easy, I just had to choose a design I would use for myself; but Martina took me a bit longer since I wasn't quite sure about what she might liked (I must add that I only make things I really like, this way my job gets to be fun).

On sunday I finished Martina's towel, Adriana's was ready a couple of weeks ago, so yesterday I gave them to their father. He was very happy with the present and told me he really liked them (his favorite was Martina's). When he got home he told both the girls and his wife, Rosa, loved the towels and that Adriana and Martina wanted to take a bath to use their new and personalized towels. It seems they took their desired bath and their parents had to allow them to keep their towels on for a little while longer, before putting on their pijamas, because they were quite happy with their present and wanted to enjoy it for as long as possible. Aren't they sweet!!

Since the first moment I saw Francesca's last book, "The Enchanted Garden", I thought the vintage gardener's hat was really cute, so last year I made one for the summer holidays.

***
A few weeks ago I remembered that I hadn't published an entry to show you the hat, and the nice matching handbag I made, so here I am ready to show you some of the pics from my Easter holidays, where I had the chance to use quite a lot both of them.

The pics are from a one day visit to Altea. A little coast town from Alicante. If you haven't been there, I encourage you to visit it. It's really cute and the visit is worth it.
