Quilt Me Club 2014 - Casi, casi terminado...

¡Casi terminado! Ha llevado mucho trabajo pero me ha alegrado formar parte del Quilt Me Club 2014 con Nataliejo de L'Atelier Perdu. Es una pena que no encontrara su blog antes porque he perdido la oportunidad de unirme a Quilt Clubs anteriores donde realizó trabajos de patch preciosos. Si todavía no la conocéis a ella y sus maravillosos Quilt y Stitch Clubs, os animo a que le hagáis una visita a su blog haciendo clic en el nombre del mismo.

Almost finished!!! It had a lot of work but I have loved being part of the 2014 Quilt Me Club with Nataliejo from L'Atelier Perdu. It's a pity I didn't find her blog sooner since I've missed the opportunity to join previous Quilt Clubs where she has done beautiful patchwork jobs. ¿Os gusta? Admito que me encanta, aunque no la uso tanto como me gustaría. Por desgracia, últimamente no he tenido mucho tiempo para coser y estas temperaturas tan altas en Madrid no ayudan (estoy agotada casi todo el tiempo). Espero que esto cambie en septiembre, así podré lucirla mucho. ¿Te unes a Nataliejo y a mí en su próximo Quilt Club? Ya estoy deseando que lo publique. ¡Espero verte!

Do you like it? I must admit I love it, even though I don't use it as much as I would like to. Unfortunately, lately I haven't had a lot of time to sew and this awful high summer temperatures in Madrid don't help (I'm exhausted most of the time). Hopefully this will change in September, so I will be able to show it off a lot. Will you join Nataliejo and me in her next Quilt Club? I'm willing for her to publish it. Hope to see you around.

Quilt Me Club 2014

En agosto, mi amiga MJ me envió un enlace a L'Atelier Perdu y me dijo que había un proyecto en marcha que me iba a encantar. Tan pronto como vi las primeras fotos, aunque solo sabía que tenía algo que ver con una cesta, decidí apuntarme.

In August, my friend MJ sent me a link to L'Atelier Perdu and told me that there was a project going on that I would love. As soon as I saw the first pictures, even though I just knew it had something to do with making a basket, I decided to join.

Cesta "Born to Quilt"

Hace meses que terminé la cesta, del libro Le Quilt Mystere de Veronique Requena, pero hasta hace unas semanas no me puse con las fotos y hasta hoy no he sacado un ratito para publicarlo. ¡Menudo desastre que soy!

There's been months since I finished the basket, from the book Le Quilt Mystere by Veronique Requena, but I didn't take the pictures 'till some weeks ago and didn't find the time to publish it 'till now. What a disaster!!


La verdad es que siempre estoy metida en algún proyecto nuevo, y  que tengo ganas de ver finalizado pronto, por lo que no saco tiempo para mucho más.

Truth is that I'm always involved with some new project, which I want to finish ASAP, so I don't have much time left for anything else.


Espero que os guste la cesta. Yo la primera vez que la vi en persona me enamoré totalmente de ella. Me pareció ideal y supe que tenía que hacer una. La pena es que me parece que en ningún sitio de la casa luce lo suficiente, a pesar de que ya la he paseado por varias estancias. Ahora la tengo en mi cuarto de costura llena de telas para los proyectos que tengo en mente (vamos, hasta arriba que está de telas).

I hope you like the basket. First time I saw it I felt completely in love with it. I thought it was great and knew I had to do one for me. It's a pity I don't seem to find a place at home where I can show how nice it really is, even I've taken it around the whole house. Right now it's at my sewing room full of fabrics for the projects I have in mind (that's a great amount of fabrics).

Como podéis ver, es todo detalle. Según la iba haciendo, cada casita me parecía más bonita. La verdad es que he disfrutado muchísimo haciéndola y quería compartirla con vosotras y deciros que os animéis porque merece la pena.

As you have seen, it has a lot of detail. As I was doing it, I thought each new house was even more beautiful than the finished ones.  I have really enjoyed doing it so I wanted to share it with all of you and tell you that it's really worth it doing it.

MERRY XMAS!!!

Mi cesta para la playa

Este verano he lucido esta fantástica cesta de playa. En cuanto se la vi a Cristina, mi profe en La Tertulia del Patch, no pude resistirme. Vamos, lo de siempre, culo veo culo quiero.

This summer I've shown off this fantastic beach basket. As soon as I saw the one from Cristina, my teacher at La Tertulia del Patch, I couldn't resist myself. As usual.

En la última clase antes de las vacaciones me puse con ello y al día siguiente la tenía lista para ir a la playa.

...

I started it in the last class before holidays and the day after it was ready to go to the beach.

Ahora ya toca guardarla con el resto de cosas de la playa pero estoy deseando volver a lucirla el verano que viene.

Now is time to keep it with all the beach stuff but I can't wait to take it back to the beach next summer.
